KANEYOSHI KO-O 1389 (t: KANETOMO-DEN, f: YAMATO TEGAI KANEYOSHI): ZENJO Founder. SEIJIRO. HOMYO ZENJO. Also: ZENRYO. Originally from YAMATO. TEGAI KANEYOSHI (KANE form: HO "wrap") is the same man. He is seen as beginning in KO-RYAKU 1379 from whence he moved from YAMATO TEGAI to MINO, one reference claims he is the son NAOE SHIZU KANETOMO's daughter. KANEYOSHI brings YAMATO style. He has a long career, spanning through the OEI. He dies in the first year of EI-KYO 1429, at 83 years of age. Made SAKIZORI TACHI SUGATA. KO-ITAME HADA runs with MASAME and clear, thin veil of JINIE. There will be strongly standing SHIRAKE-UTSURI, MIZUKAGE style in the YAKIDASHI. HOSO-SUGUHA and CHU-SUGUHA in NIOI-DEKI with KO-NIE. Also called TAKIO. Signed in stylish, bold strokes. KANEYOSHI(2) OEI 1394 KANENOBU - ZENJO Group. Work into the EI-KYO. SAEMONJIRO. An argument ensues: It has been speculated that ZENJO SAEMONJIRO KANENOBU could be NAOE SAEMONJIRO KANENOBU or then more probably, his son. ZENJO records say KANEYOSHI(2) was the eldest son, named after NAOE KANENOBU and that KANEYOSHI(2) first signed KANENOBU, then converted his MEI to KANEYOSHI later. If ZENJO KANEYOSHI(2) is ZENJO KANENOBU(1), it follows that KANENOBU(2) of EI-KYO would be his son, as some EI-KYO KANENOBU records state. Since KANEYOSHI(2) was KANENOBU, EI-KYO KANENOBU could well be the son. As KANEYOSHI(2) was KANENOBU, records of the KANENOBU line then become clear. KANEYOSHI(2): He follows the grand style-structure laid forth by KANEYOSHI(1). If this smith started from NAOE roots, it marks a stark change. NIOI-GUCHI is tight and small TOGARI push from a fairly even field of KO-GUNOME-MIDARE BA in which FUSHI knots are seen. It seems his health forced his younger brother, KYOSABURO, (WAKASA-no-KAMI) to come adopt him and bring him back to MINO to rejoin the legitimate family line of the SORYO SHIKI.
