His name calls his school. There are          three GASSAN periods - From GASSAN(1), From O-EI 1394 and         the modern GASSAN, SADAKAZU. GASSAN found in HOKI,          HITACHI and IZUMO. This school comes to thought when one         finds strong or thick blades in AYASUGI-HADA with SUGUHA         temperlines. GUNSHO TEI-JI: GASSAN. Made TACHI and TANTO. His running ITAME is         noted as particularly soft steel. HAMON is SUGUHA. CHIKANORI TEM-PUKU (:f CHIKAKIKU): Several texts seat two smiths.         MUTSU line from grandfather, KIYOMARU, also called          ONIOMARU. Signatures may be in KANA. Shinogi-tsukuri, Ihori-mune Katana with Shinogi-taka, raised ridge and Chu-Kissaki.
Strongly standing Ayasugi Hada has JiNie.
Gassan Hoso-Suguha and Ko-midare walk the Ha.
Long, Ubu Kurijiri Nakago has one Mekugi-ana and signed in the upper Ji:

Sori: 5 Bu 5 Rin (1.66cm)
Moto-haba: 1 Sun (3.03cm)
Saki-haba: 7 Bu 8 Rin (2.36cm)
Kissaki-naga: 2 Sun 4 Bu 5 Rin (7.46cm)
Nakago: 4 Sun 5 Bu (14.24cm)

Shinogi-tsukuri, Maru-mune, thin Sakizori blade with O-Kissaki.
Intricate and complex standing and running Itame Mokume mix has Shirake cast.
Hoso-Suguha has Aski-Notare drift in tight Nioi-guchi and Ko-Nie. Complexity arises against the Hada as the mid becomes Niju.
Boshi follows suit, Hoso-Sugu, O-Maru where the Saki sees Niju.
Ubu Kurijiri Nakago with two Mekugi-ana.
