TOSABURO. Old style narrow KO-KISSAKI TACHI is usually associated to KUNITOMO and HISAKUNI, 1st and 2nd sons. With KUNIYASU we find the later, stout IKUBI-KISSAKI on wider KAMAKURA SUGATA or deely curved. AWATAGUCHI NASHI-JI KO-MOKUME where CHIKEI marks O-HADA. KO-NIE KO-MIDARE to uneven KO-CHOJI or CHOJI-MIDARE BA. Look for small UCHINOKE above the HAMON. O-MARU KAERI on MIDARE-KOMI BOSHI. KIJI-MOMO NAKAGO. His YASU is unique: AN or "Peace" - a woman under roof. Here her robes break wide. - Looks like an easel bowing from burden. KUNIYASU(2) KEN-CHO 1249 |
BUNKAZAI KUNIYASU
| NAGASA: 80.4cm
SORI: 2.6cm A narrow feeling is exemplified by its full-length BO-HI that intrudes upon the KO-SHINOGI of its small, perfect KO-KISSAKI. This is a deep curve in the old style. Its FUNBARI has been slightly reduced. Well-knit KO-ITAME HADA has JI-NIE. NIOI-FUKASHI and KO-NIE KO-MIDARE BA with ASHI-IRI shows striating KINSUJI and SUNAGASHI running. Dignified KOMARU settles in a slight KAERI. KIJI-MOMO NAKAGO falls in a curve to a slightly KURI-JIRI. With one MEKUGI-ANA, signed in the upper in his typically thin strokes.
