Note: Katate-Uchi,
"One
Handed Fighting Sword" were long swords. The Japanese
produced this Daito style from the period of Bun-mei 1469 through Ten-mon
1532. Through most of the Sengoku, when the fight would be one to one in
battle, the Katatechi was the favored weapon for three generations.
