Takigawa Saburo Dayu
Born in Hirohara, Tanshu, he was the late stylist from Hojoji Kunimitsu of Tanshu. He moved to Edo to become the leader of the Edo Hojoji School.
We see long sword and wakizashi by him in the typical shallow Sori Kanbun style, the famous Shinto Sugata.

Nagasa: 84cm
Ji-tetsu is a complex Itame Hada that is tight and refined, and shows evenly developed Jinie. Masame in the Shinogi-Ji.

This is a gently Asaki-Notare line of complex Gunome-Midare where well-formed Nie Fukashi forms the deep Habuchi.

It should be noted that swords of this length were illegal at this time and the few pieces of this length are exceptionally rare, as only the order of the greatest Daimyo could command such work be created. Kept from open exposure, these pieces were their most exclusive property.

This piece could only have been created for a top level Edo Daimyo, a favored personage of the inner circle.
